Deployed family member experience – OIF & OEF
My career began as an elementary educator. Upon receiving my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family therapy I worked with reuniting adolescents with their families. My clinical career also focused on children of divorce and children with school difficulties. I took an opportunity to return to teaching where I specialized in reading difficulties. In addition to teaching children of Soldiers, I provided support to these Soldiers’ families with issues relating to deployment, adjustment difficulties and reintegration. Having settled here in Pinehurst, I look forward to resuming my clinical practice. Specialties include family issues, fertility/women’s health, educational concerns and issues specific to military families (deployment, reintegration, etc).

MA, MSW, LCSW-A
(On Loan to the USAF)
I am a licensed clinical social worker associate (LCSW-A) and a proud military spouse. I currently treat children, adolescents, and adults, and specialize in working with military service members and their families. I have a Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Psychology (Concentration in Neuropsychology) from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology, and a Master of Social Work (Concentration in Military Social Work) from the University of Southern California.
As a therapist, I apply a strength-based approach and work with a wide range of presenting problems, including life-transitions, stress, body image issues, trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. I tailor evidence-based interventions to fit the needs and therapeutic goals of each individual, but primarily utilize cognitive-behavior therapy, humanistic techniques, and experiential mindfulness practices.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, snuggling while watching a good TV series, traveling to new places and trying new cuisines, and being active outdoors.
